Chiclana is home to Spain’s best beaches. Overlooking the atlantic ocean, La barrosa beach covers a distance of 8 km with two contrasting sections. The paseo maritimo section has an urban pedestrian promenade that runs alongside the beach for two kilometers and the beach continues its journey to meet with “Torre del Puerco” at the southern point of the shoreline.
With its fine white sand and blue flag accolade La barrosa beach is the most well known in all of Andalucia. It has all the services which include vehicle parking, shower areas, security, local police and Red Cross facility. There is a ramp access to the beach for disabled persons and for perambulators. On the main walkway there are ample restaurants, cafeterias, bares and ice cream parlours. The excellent bus service runs from the hotel areas every 15 minutes to the town centre and back.
The Torre Del Puerco with its eco-friendly environment plays host to the “Novo Sancti Petri” and “Loma de Sancti Petri” areas where the 4 and 5 star hotels, golf courses and shopping center are located.
